Shopping online for Scottish or Celtic wares can be a challenge. Sure, there are plenty of online gift houses, but can you be certain the gift or items you purchase are truly made in Scotland (or Ireland), or might they be an import from the likes of China and elsewhere?
The Celtic Market is a newcomer to this highly competitive business, but it's owners, Jessie-Lynn MacDonald and Tommy Goldie insist you can shop with confidence that the items found in their online shop will be genuine made-in-Scotland (or Ireland) products. Perhaps that's because they were both born and raised in Scotland. In fact, the two were childhood friends, growing up on the same street. Jessie-Lynn's family emigrated to Canada almost 40 years ago, and the two friends fell out of touch. But, thanks the technology of the Internet, their friendship was rekindled several years ago and now they are partners again, not on the playground, but in the business world.
The Celtic Market was launched only weeks ago but is already thriving and growing. Unique among competitors with offices in both Canada (North America) and Scotland (Europe), the future looks bright and Scottish ex-pats and the diaspora community can welcome this new source for those unique and treasured hand-crafted Scottish goods.

The Angels' Share is a well-known whisky legend based around the true fact that a small percentage of whisky evaporates as it is aged. This evaporating whisky is said to become "the angels' share" and in the hands of a master glass craftsman and his daughter, with a head for business and design, this legend has inspired a young craft business in Scotland that is reaching for the heavens!
